Description Asclepias curassavica ‘Monarch’s Banquet’ is a gorgeous, long-blooming variegated cultivar of this species of milkweed with grey-green foliage with variable creamy yellow and creamy white edges. It is a tender perennial when grown in Canada with stunning blooms in bright orange-red through the summer months followed by pods opening to reveal silky fibres. Provides vertical appeal along with pollinator activity (including Monarch butterflies) that are attracted to its fragrant, colourful and nectar-rich flowers. Deer resistant. Can be protected in winter above freezing to grow for next year.
