Availability:

$ 12.66

Description Boltonia asteroides is an eastern North American native false aster that produces an absolute mass of tiny white daisy flowers with yellow centers atop tall stems in late summer to early fall. On occasion, petals can take on a pink to violet or purple colour. Bluish-green foliage provides for a stunning contrast. Awesome in the cottage, cut flower and pollinator garden, in the mid to back of the border, or alongside Miscanthus for a textural feast for the eyes. Shear hard in June to get a more compact habit, if desired. Tolerates a wide range of soils including moderately dry ones. Drought tolerant once established. Attracts butterflies and bees. Deer resistant. This species is native to the eastern half of the US plus Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
