Description Bignonia capreolata or crossvine is a North American relative of the better-known Asian Campsis or trumpet vine. It is a large, fast-growing, highly adaptable vine attaching with tendrils that offers subtropical flare with its large, fragrant, trumpet-shaped flowers in fiery colours in late spring to mid summer. ‘Tangerine Beauty’ has bright tangerine-orange flowers with yellow throats. Happily attaches itself easily to most surfaces blanketing unsightly structures, providing screening with its attractive green foliage, espaliered or as groundcover. In zone 5, stems may die back to the ground in winter and resprout in the spring. Provide a protective winter mulch. Hummingbird and pollinator attractor.
