Description Astrantia major ‘Snow Star’ is a masterwort featuring large, white blooms edged in green set above its mounds of lush foliage. For healthy growth, plant in evenly moist, well-drained soils with dappled shade or morning sun. After blooming, trim the plants close to the ground to encourage new leaves and a possible second flowering. Plants may self-seed gently into new locations. Fabulous in the pollinator and cut flower garden, in containers, and the middle of the border for long-lasting colour and textural appeal. Attracts bees and butterflies.
