Description Arthropodium cirratum, known as rengarenga, renga lily, or New Zealand rock lily, is a lovely lily relative endemic to New Zealand with broad, subtropical-looking, green to blue-green foliage, topped in summer with airy sprays of pure white to sometimes pink-flushed, six-petaled flowers with purple, white and yellow stamens atop arching stems 2-3 feet tall. Excellent for the part sun to part shade rock garden or as a specimen in containers. Where not hardy, protect above freezing in winter. Rengarenga was an important medicinal and food plant of the Maori peoples. Deer resistant. Attracts bees and butterflies.
