Description Cosmos atrosanguineus ‘Cherry Chocolate’ is a new form of the well-known chocolate cosmos distinguished by its rich cherry pink petals that provide a more vibrant colour display than the normal burgundy of the species. This variety retains the characteristic dark chocolate fragrance on flowers that will bloom constantly through summer into autumn for up to five months. Great for containers on the patio or at your front door or anywhere in the garden where you’ll pass by in the summer to take in the fragrance. Thrives in well-drained soils of any type and requires full sun exposure. Tolerant of periods of drought. Can be overwintered if protected from frosts. Possibly hardy to zone 8b. Hummingbird and pollinator attractor.
