$ 12.66

Description Asclepias tuberosa ‘Hello Yellow’ is a very long-lived eastern North American butterfly milkweed. Brilliant, yellow-flowered, fragrant umbels bloom on strong stems above its dark green, lance-shaped foliage. Blooms all summer long followed by attractive seed pods. Deadheading stimulates more blooming cycles. The blooms are an important nectar source for monarch and other butterflies and a wide range of other species. The plants are an important larval host for monarch caterpillars. Unlike other milkweeds, this species does not have milky sap. Requires full sun and fast draining, dry soil. Late to emerge in spring so be patient. Use in the pollinator, cottage and rock garden, as a filler in borders and in fresh and dried bouquets. Deer resistant.
