Rubus idaeus ‘Honey Queen’ – Everbearing Raspberry – Rosaceae (The Rose Family)

Availability:

$ 15.20

Description Rubus idaeus ‘Honey Queen’ is one of the hardiest of yellow raspberries with large, sweet, honey-flavoured berries with less acidity than red fruit. Blooms in April and ripens from June to August. Provide organically rich, moist but well-drained soil in full sun to part shade though yields will be higher in full sun. Provide vertical support for easier harvesting and control. Canes, which are covered in thorns, produce fruit in their 2nd year. Remove canes after fruiting to encourage new growth. More shade tolerant than red raspberries. Probably hardy to zone 2. Enjoy fruit fresh, frozen, canned, or baked. A Canadian native found in every province and territory.
