Rubus idaeus ‘Cascade Harvest’ – Summer-Bearing Raspberry – Rosaceae (The Rose Family)

Availability:

$ 13.93

Description Rubus idaeus ‘Cascade Harvest’ is a newly introduced variety from Washington State University offering some of the largest raspberries around. Similar in season and productivity to ‘Tulameen’, this variety boasts bigger, firmer berries. Expect a heavy yield with an intense, traditional raspberry flavour but from exceptionally large, firm, conical-shaped fruit with excellent colour and quality. Harvest season is approximately 50 days in the summer. Canes are strong, upright and almost thornless and can reach 4-6 feet tall with a 2-4 foot spread. Remove fruited canes after fruiting to encourage new canes. Due to its outstanding resistance to root rot, it can thrive in wetter gardens, however, improved drainage is appreciated. Enjoy fresh, frozen, canned, and baked. Attracts bees and other wildlife.
