Rosmarinus officinalis ‘Arp’ – Rosemary – Lamiaceae (The Mint Family)

Availability:

$ 7.60

Description Rosmarinus officinalis ‘Arp’ is the hardiest of rosmaries. It has a strong, upright habit with fragrant, grey-green to bluish green foliage perfect for use in the kitchen. It is best known for having especially excellent winter hardiness in comparison to other cultivars of rosemary. In harsh winters all rosemary will likely die but in moderately cold winters ‘Arp’ will usually survive when other cultivars perish. The best flavour and plant longevity will be in hot dry spots with poor soil. Dry, well-drained soils will also improve winter hardiness. Special protection and mulches may be required in zone 6.
